Old World Sparrows are small brownish birds with conical bills. The eat primarily seeds and insects. The House Sparrow is found worldwide, usually in close proximity with human habitation. They are typically abundant in urban areas. The House Sparrow was introduced to New York City in 1850 and spread to the west coast within 60 years. |
